Taking a break in 2026

I'm stepping back from the business this year to focus on other priorities. Refills and questions about candles you already own are still welcome.

What an adventure

Hi, I'm Kassandra. Looking back on three years of Clay & Candles, I think about every vessel I threw, every candle I poured and every order I packed by hand, and all the places they took me, from local market booths to custom pieces for some of your most meaningful moments. I'm so grateful to everyone who shopped, gifted and cheered us on along the way. You made this little business what it is.

What went into every candle

Clean ingredients, poured by one person who read every label.

  • 100% soy wax. Slow, even burn with no paraffin.
  • Wood wicks. That soft crackle, and a wide melt pool.
  • Vegan, cruelty-free fragrance. Made without mutagens, parabens or phthalates.
  • Small batches. Poured by hand and cured before shipping.

Hand-thrown vessels

Each vessel was thrown, trimmed, glazed and fired before a drop of wax went in, so no two are alike. Once the candle burns down, it lives on as a planter or a catch-all, or comes back for a refill.

Your words, fired into the clay

Some of my favorite pieces were custom: names, anniversary dates, a coffee roaster's logo, a salon's inside joke. Each one was thrown by hand, previewed with the customer before firing, and poured in the scent they chose.

Markets, shops & events

Clay & Candles grew up at local markets and pop-ups, with tables full of seasonal scents and gift boxes packed for the holidays. Shops, salons and event planners ordered in bulk with their own scents and labels.
