FAQ & candle care
Shipping, returns, and how to get a clean, even burn from your candle.
Shipping & returns
When will my candle arrive?
Ready-made orders ship within 3 business days by USPS. Delivery in the US usually takes 3–5 business days after that, though carrier times vary. Custom orders take about three weeks.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, for candles. Ceramics can't ship internationally right now. Candles are duty free, so you shouldn't owe anything extra on import.
My order arrived damaged. What now?
I'm sorry! Email flanderscreative@gmail.com or message me on social media with a photo of the damage, and we'll work out a fix together.
Do you accept returns?
Yes. Email flanderscreative@gmail.com with your name and what you ordered, and I'll walk you through it.
Can I get a refill?
Yes. Ceramic vessels are made to be reused. Email me to set up a refill and choose a scent.
Your candle
My candle is tunneling (burning only down the middle).
Tunneling happens when a candle is only lit for short stretches. On a newer candle, let the next burn run 2–4 hours so the melt pool reaches the edges; it usually corrects itself. For a deep tunnel, this video shows how to fix it.
It smells great unlit but faint when burning.
Soy candles need about two weeks to cure before their scent throw is at its best. Custom orders sometimes arrive a little early, so give it a week after delivery. If it's still faint, email me; I may be able to make it right.
Tips for a better burn
- Follow the safety notes printed on the bottom of your candle.
- On the first burn, let it go for up to 4 hours so the whole top melts evenly.
- Trim the wick before each burn. For wood wicks, wait until the candle is fully cool, then pinch off the charred tip with a tissue.
- Not sure if something is normal? Ask. Every candle is handmade and a little different.
